Camel Safari Of Royal Rajasthan

Duration :- 16 Nights / 17 Days

Destinations:Delhi - Jaipur - Mandawa - Bikaner - Camel Safari - Jodhpur - Udaipur - Delhi

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Arrival at Delhi airport and after a traditional Indian welcome, assistance and transfer to Hotel. Dinner & overnight in Delhi

Day 02: In Delhi

Start your tour of Delhi by visiting Rajghat – the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi followed by tour of Old Delhi covering the two 16th century Mughal monuments- Red Fort and Jama Masjid. A short trip to Chandni Chowk – the ‘tourist favorite’ shopping place for ethnic Indian goods.

Post lunch, drive to the Lotus temple, followed by visits to the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites - the Qutab Minar and Humayun’s tomb. Evening trip to Akshardham Temple and watch the Beautiful Musical Fountain show before returning to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur (258 km - 5 Hrs)

Morning drive to Jaipur, also known as “Pink City” and upon arrival transfer to a Royal Haveli. Jaipur: The capital city of Rajasthan which is also one of the most culturally rich cities in India. Visit the City Palace, a pleasant blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture and explore the museum inside the palace exhibiting various rare and unique Rajasthani and Royal articles. Later, drive to the unique ‘Hawa Mahal’ and the Jantar Mantar- the 17th century astronomical instruments. Spend overnight at Jaipur.

DAY-04: JAIPUR

After a leisurely breakfast, proceed to Amber fort, the most frequented site in the city famous for its elaborate decoration and stone carvings. Situated on top of a hill, reach to it like a Maharaja, by taking a ride atop a majestically dressed elephant. Evening drive to Chokhi Dhani for a short excursion trip, which is an ethnic Rajasthani Resort. A special Dinner will be organized there followed by drive back to Jaipur Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 05: Jaipur - Mandawa (2 Hours)

Morning drive to Mandawa and upon arrival check - in to the Hotel. In the afternoon, a formal introduction with the Camel specially trained and kept for safaris. Enjoy a short Camel ride for a hands-on experience. Later, visit the Haveli's of Fatehpur, Mandawa and Dundlod and witness the fine paintings and carvings adorning their walls. Overnight in Mandawa castle.

Day 06: Mandawa - Bikaner (4 Hours)

After breakfast at the hotel depart for Bikaner and upon arrival assistance and transfer to a hotel for check in. Later visit the Junagadh Fort built in Redstone and marble it indeed is a landmark at Bikaner. Visit more exquisite mansions and Palaces. An interesting visit will be the Camel farm where the camels are bred and enjoy a camel ride. Overnight at hotel in Bikaner.

Day 07: Bikaner - Deshnok( Drive) - Panchu - Bhala (Camel Trek)

After driving to Panchu en-route visiting Karni Mata Temple located at Deshnok.

Next, proceed for a joyful camel trek to Village Bhala stopping en-route for a traditional Rajasthani lunch. At Bhala, move into the luxurious camps with refreshments, cultural music and dance program and dinner besides the campfire. Overnight at the camp.

Day 08: Bhala - Champasar (Camel Trek)

Set out for another exciting camel trek from Bhala village to Champasar. Stroll around the village town perched atop the camel and explore its medieval temples, busy markets and rural lifestyles of the people devoid of all modern amenities yet charming beyond measure. Overnight in the camp accommodation at Champasar.

Day 09: Champasar - Kelansar (Camel Trek)

Today’s camel trek will take us from Champasar to Village Kelansar. By now completely at ease with your camels, enjoy the ride passing through sandy dunes and remote villages. Spend overnight in Kelansar camp.

Day 10: Khelansar - Kharia (Patawatan) (Camel Trek)

The adventure tour of camel safari will start early morning with trek moving towards the village of Kharia (Patawtan) and upon arrival stay at a Camp accommodation. Later in the day, a short interaction with the camel owners who will tell interesting stories about the camels, apart from general info like a camel’s average life span, their eating and drinking requirements, mating seasons, cost of buying camels etc. Talk away the evening sitting across the campfire under a sky full of stars.

Day 11: Kharia - Fool Tank. (Canelk Trek)

The Desert safari continues with the camel trek reaching Fool Tank. Later in the day, special arrangement will be made for a local “Kathputli” or Puppet show. Enjoy the popular entertainment media which as legendary as the history of Rajasthan. Overnight at a luxurious desert camp at Fool tank.

Day 12: Fool tank - Jambha - Jodhpur

Enjoy the camel ride for the last time in the journey with the camel trek to the village Jambha and upon arrival transfer to a Camp. Post lunch, the camels will be handed over to the caretakers while you take a jeep drive to Jodhpur and upon arrival check-in at a luxury hotel.

Day 13: Jodhpur

Full day tour of the city, visiting all of its popular monuments and palaces.

Jodhpur: It is the second largest city in Rajasthan and is also lovingly known as the “blue city” of Rajasthan as most of the houses of the old city are painted blue in colour. You can get perfect view of the city by driving up to the Mehrangarh Fort which gives an excellent bird’s eye view of the entire city. Later visit the Jaswant thada which has got the cenotaphs in marble of the previous rulers of Jodhpur. Evening visit the Ummaid Bhawan Palace which is also known as the World’s Largest Private Residence. It is a huge Palace and was commissioned by the then rulers of Jodhpurs to help their subjects tide over a very difficult and enduring famine and draught. The never ending construction ensured that there was always a livelihood for the locals during the constructions and also help built the World’s Largest Private residence. Now a part of it is converted into a hotel and a very small part is now thrown open to public but nevertheless it’s worth a visit. Overnight at a luxury hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 14: Jodhpur-Ranakpur-Udaipur (259 Km - 8 Hours including sightseeing)

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel .Later drive to Udaipur Enroute visit the beautiful Jain temples at Ranakpur. Built as a large complex they rest on 1444 pillars and none of whom are alike. They all have exquisite carvings and artwork done on them. Arrival at Udaipur and our representative shall assist you in check in. Overnight at a Haveli at Udaipur.

Day 15: In Udaipur

Explore Udaipur, also known as the Venice of the east. Udaipur offers the best of Rajasthan, be it Hills, lakes, forest, palaces or forts. Take a boar ride on Lake Pichola, followed by visits to the Fateh Sagar Lake, the Sajjangarh Palace and the City Palace Museum. Overnight at a Royal Udaipur Haveli.

Day 16: Udaipur - Delhi

After a leisurely breakfast, assistance and transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi and upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure activities followed by dinner & overnight stay.

DAY-17: DEPARTURE

In time transfer to the airport and catch flight to your onward/return journey.
